‘Protagonists of Latin American Futures’, the latest theme issue of Critical Reviews on Latin American Research – CROLAR has just been published at http://www.crolar.org/index.php/crolar

Issue editors: Elis de Aquino, Frank Müller and Anke Schwarz

For this edition, Anke Schwarz had a written conversation with writer and academic Malka Older, on speculative fiction, contemporary dystopias, and the future of borders and nation states. Older’s cyberpunk Centenal Cycle trilogy was a finalist for the Hugo Award for Best Series. Her latest publication is the 2019 short story collection …And Other Disasters from Mason Jar Press.

Along with our editorial, the ‘Protagonists of Latin American Futures’ issue also features book reviews, research notes, and conversations with Arjun Appadurai and Austin Zeiderman.
